Common Areas, Cafeteria, Hallways
Emergencies can happen during the times when not in class, so there needs to be a shelter where students and staff can access in seconds. This is where the Common Area “Larger Unit’s” shine. These units can hold over 100 students and teachers! Shelters can be places in the hallways, the gym, and the cafeteria area. This is completely different from the schools that are spending multi-millions to create a “central area-shelter” on school grounds. Think about how long it will take to get everyone into one central location. The solution is to make sure the there are several shelters available at many locations.
