Seconds To Safety
Matched Funds Donation ProgramObjective
Help millions of kids in schools have real & reasonable lifesaving safety from crisis events via small comfortable safe rooms that are also used daily as reading/quiet/study/tutoring room areas.
“Seconds to Safety” is very often the difference between life & death during crisis events in Schools (Intruders/Active Shooters, Tornadoes, Earthquakes, or Hurricanes).
This safety is achieved via our Small Bullet Proof Storm Shelter Safe Rooms being installed in Classrooms and throughout the Common Areas of Schools, so that all Students & Staff are always able to quickly get safely inside one of these Lifesaving Safe Rooms in 30 seconds or less during crisis events without unnecessary exposure or time in hallways or open areas trying to get to safety.
Importantly the well-lighted very comfortable little safe room shelters are also used daily as a highly functional part of the classrooms, and being used daily they are unintimidating to kids when needed for their safety.
“Seconds to Safety” Matched Funds Donation Program
1. SIP has secured multiple willing potential donors who like everyone involved in the noble effort of providing real & reasonable safe room shelter safety for students & staff in schools across this country, feel it an honor to help in this all-important cause. We all share a common sense of the great importance and urgency to help schools & school districts be the safest place possible for our country’s kids to learn and grow without them having the ever present sense of fear and dread for their personal safety during their time at school.
2. For each shelter acquired by any school or school district at our standard wholesale price, we at Shelter In Place, LLC (SIP) and our associates have arranged a Matched Funds value shelter to be 100% donated at no cost to the school or school district in exchange for an official donation receipt that is then used by the donor or donors for their tax planning.
3. For tax planning benefits and liability concerns to the donor or donors, the actual shelter or shelters must be 100% donated to the schools. No shelter or multiple shelters can be partially funded by both the school or school district and the donor. It is required that the shelters being donated to the recipient schools are totally separate shelters.
4. To qualify for a matching donation, the school or school district must purchase a shelter or shelters of equal or higher value to then receive similar matching value in a donated shelter or shelters at no purchase cost to the recipient school or school district.
5. Ownership to the donated shelters to the school or school district is delivered FOB at the nearest facility of SIP where the shelter is processed and readied for shipment. The school or school district is then fully responsible and liable for the transport of the shelter or shelters, and for the onsite installation of the shelter or shelters, and related costs.
6. If a small school needs only 1 shelter and therefore does not qualify to participate in the Matched Funds Donation Program, they can purchase any of our SIP Safe Room Shelters at a 15% discount.
